The man in Lodmundfjord was brought away by police

Artist Joey Syta, who came to the news in the days after he landed in Self -sufficiency in Loðmundarfjordur and was rescued by rescue teams, was removed by police officers in the half -game basketball game Hattar and Álftaness in Egilsstadir yesterday.

Had he been in contact with children at the game and an adult person in the game accused him of smelling of marijuana, according to Syta.

Police say Syta is not accused of anything criminal, but Hjalti Bergmar Axelsson, a police officer in Egilsstadir, says police have been requested by police during the game because of a person’s conduct without mentioning Syta. He says, however, that his conduct was nothing to complain about and that he left the area when requested.

Syta claims to be a basketball enthusiast.

Syta himself says in a conversation with mbl.is that police intervention has come flat on him. However, he is a big fan of basketball and he is sorry to not be able to come to the gym again to shoot a basket or play a cap. He says he soon leaves Iceland but has looked at the property in Seyðisfjörður.

The children have sought him

Syta has just been staying in Seyðisfjörður recently and says that the children in the East Fjords have been very fond of him after news of his experience in Lodmundarfjordur.

« In the game, the kids around me gathered and I have tried to give myself time for them as I am young in spirit (a big kid at Heart). However, I had told them they couldn’t be around me when the game was going on so I watched the game like each other. No problems and was going to go, but then the police came and followed me out.

Free ride on Seyðisfjörður

He says police officers had smelled from him and told him that he did not smell of marijuana at all. They invited to shuttle him and his girlfriend to Seyðisfjörður again and accepted them.

« It was a free ride and just great to get it, » says Syta, who has a birthday today.
