The man impersonated cardiology. The tragic effects of his operation
Yadav claimed Professor John Camma, a reputable cardiologist from Great Britain to gain the trust of patients and medical staff. He claimed that he had gained education in St. George’s University in London and worked in leading hospitals in Great Britain, the USA and Germany. In turn, his alleged professional experience included operations in reputable medical facilities. In fact, however, his certificates and references were false, and the whole career was based on fraud.
The tragic effects of a false doctor surgery
Yadav conducted cardiac surgery at the Mission Hospital in Damoh, a city of Madhya Pradesh, India. As a result of his actions, seven patients were killed who underwent open -hearted surgery. All deaths took place in a short time after the procedures, and the situation became a cause for concern among the families of victims and local authorities. After the last, unsuccessful operation, the false doctor disappeared, and the investigators began the investigation that led to his arrest.
The police from Damoh determined that Yadav, during his stay in Mission Hospital, conducted operations on 13 patients, of which seven died as a result of complications. After his escape, investigators began to combine his activities with many frauds from the past. Documents confirming his « international career » proved to be falsified, and his registration in Andhra Pradesh Medical Council was confirmed as invalid.
Escape and arrest, a medical impairment
After Yadav disappeared from the hospital, the investigation began to gain pace. The police quickly discovered that the man had a past full of fraud in which he was helped by forged documents. It turned out that for years he operated under various names and used the name of prof. Camma to increase your credibility.
After a few weeks of hiding, on Monday evening, he was detained in the city of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. At the time of arrest, he sent a call to pay 50 million rupees (about $ 580,000) to people who accused him of fraud related to his false identity.
The investigation into a false cardiologist also showed that CAMM, Alias Yadav, did not have valid qualifications to carry out such operations, and his documents, including alleged academic degrees, are subjected to further research. If it is proved that his MBBS diploma is false, all operations he performed for years will be considered illegal.
Fraudster conflict with a real doctor
Already in 2019, the real prof. John Camm informed the public about the illegal use of his name by Yadava. Yadav himself, in turn, ran a blog in which he claimed that he had collaborated with the best medical institutions in the world for years. Despite the fact that the real CAMM has repeatedly tried to stop the fraud, so far it has not been successful to curb Yadav’s activities.
