The man attacked a woman in the park. He had his mother’s body at home in the rock
On Friday, May 9, the police received a signal about a brutal event in the Krakow Park Marek Grechuta, near the academic town. A 48-year-old man threw himself at a random woman and began to choke her. Fortunately, passers -by reacted, including students. They overpowered the attacker and called officers. – The matter at first looked like robbery. Witnesses noticed that he had previously tried to pull out a woman’s purse – reports to « Fakt » asp. Bartosz Izdebski from the Lesser Poland police.
Senior’s silence and body inside
The officers quickly determined the man’s identity and his address. He lived in a rock, a small city of 4,000, 22 kilometers away from Krakow. On Saturday (May 10), the police arrived and decided to check the house. Nobody responded to knocking on the door. A moment later, the uniforms made a macabre discovery. A 79-year-old woman was lying inside. It was the mother of the detainee.
Actions are on site. The police and prosecutor’s office are trying to determine if the woman died at the hands of her own son and when exactly the tragedy took place.
Investigators suspect murder
The first arrangements are disturbing. As he admitted to « Fakt » asp. Bartosz Izdebski, there are many indications that there could be a murder. However, the officer did not want to reveal the details of the death mechanism, indicating that they would be determined.
« Fakt » confirmed in the prosecutor’s office that there was a wound on the woman’s body around the neck.
« The autopsy will only be confirmed by this information, » Prosecutor Oliwia Bożek-Michalec told us.
The prosecutor’s office informs that the activities with the detainees will be carried out on Saturday and Sunday morning.
