The magic of light, music and fountains in the Botanical Garden continues


On Friday at 8 p.m. Sisters of Wire will be given a concert, before a tours of the Botanical Garden with its specialists, consultation with breeders and collections curators, exhibitions.

Today is for tulips and rhododendrons and variety of spring rings.

Practical education on tulips and azaleas care, varieties and planting, as well as floristry workshops: Spring blossoms (tulips, rhododendrons) compositions.

Children’s employment was also taken care of. They are waiting for « Discover the Tulip and Rhododendr ».

At dusk, the Botanical Garden will immerse themselves in magic of light and dancing musical fountains.

This festival has been held at VMU Botanical Garden for the third year.

This year it became one of the 80th anniversary of Kaunas Day. In order to thank readers, the newspaper distributed thousands of tickets for their friendship and fellowship to enjoy as many people as possible.

Remigijus Knabikas, the head of the Medusa Concert organizing the festival, estimated that more than 100 different water fountains were installed in the park ponds. They are illuminated by powerful colored spotlights and lasers and dance to music of different genres.

Late bus trips

The festival will continue until Sunday.

If you are not able to visit tomorrow or Sunday today. For the convenience of the participants these days, additional late trips from the Botanical Garden stops are provided for:

Friday-16th and 35th buses 00.15 and 35th Route;

On Saturday, on the 35th A buses 00.15 p.m.

On Sunday, on the 35th A buses on Sunday at 23:45 p.m.

• 3 pm to 6 p.m. Concert for kids! On the stage we will see the vocal groups of A. Kačanauskas Music School cheerful DO, LDO and the Children of the Saulės Children of the Sun, Sun Children, Caca Pagrands, Sunny Junior, Sunny and soloists.

• Cognitive route « Flowering Road » after tulips, roses, peonies, iris.

• The artistic stop « I draw a flower in nature ».

• Lecture « Secrets of naturalistic flowerbed ».

• For children: puzzles and rings recognition tasks.

• Thematic education « Plants from closer »: games of recognition, shapes and colors.

• botanical quiz with prizes for families.

« Plant Fun » is an international holiday (#plantday), which aims to highlight plants, to encourage people to become more interested in the importance of plants and to the diverse importance of their research. It is an event where the youngest and the smallest will be able to discover interesting activities that encourage interest in the secrets of the Kingdom of the Plant. VMU Botanical Garden traditionally invites Kaunas residents and guests of the city together with the world to celebrate this day and admire plants.

During the event, guests will have the opportunity to admire and see more than 200 different species and varieties of flowering rhododendrons, about 50 species of flowering iris. Garden visitors will have a great opportunity to take pictures and take pictures between rings, participate in seminars.
