Section Krompachy, AS, is one of the successor companies of the former state -owned enterprise Slovenské electrotechnical plants – season. He worked in Krompachy for almost eighty years and, along with Kovohutami, he was the largest employer in this city in the Poor Spiš region.
The Košice Municipal Court started bankruptcy proceedings against her own petition. The reason is that the company can no longer repay its liabilities to the creditors. On the commencement of bankruptcy proceedings decided Court 11. June.
The commencement of bankruptcy proceedings means that the season can only carry out the normal legal acts necessary for operation. At the same time, all execution and performance proceedings are interrupted against the company and new ones cannot be started. It is also not possible to decide on the liquidation of society, its transformation or cross -border change of the legal form until the bankruptcy proceedings are held.
Bankruptcy was published in a commercial Journalthus entered into force and is not allowed against it.
The well -known Spiš Society of SEC Krompachy has thus become a bankrupt and its assets are subject to bankruptcy regime.
Endangered jobs
In the past, the company has employed two thousand people in ten thousand Krompachy. Currently, the population of the city has fallen below eight thousand.
Last year, the company had 227 employees, of which 130 were women. Now they are in danger of losing jobs.
By portal Finstat.sk Society Krompachy was lost last year. While in 2023 it reported 882 thousand profits, last year it was a loss of 1.28 million euros.
At the same time, sales fell only at least, from 10.6 to 9.7 million euros.
