« The Living Sea »: the exhibition that celebrates the beauty and fragility of the oceans

Are just some of the protagonists of the shots of Hussain Aga Khanexposed From 13 May to 5 September at the Museum of Natural History in Milan within the exhibition « The Living Sea ». The exhibition offers a look at the extraordinary biodiversity of the oceans who bathe Mexico, Egypt and Polynesia (Tonga and Moorea)and is the result of the collaboration between Focused on Nature – founded by the photographer born in Geneva in 1974 – e MarevivOr, reality committed to protecting marine ecosystems and looking for effective solutions to reduce the pollution of the seas.
The exhibition – accompanied by the video installations of Simone Piccoli – wants to increase awareness of the irreplaceable treasures of oceans from all over the world, sensitizing the public on the need and urgency of protect animals and marine ecosystems: The two met in November 2014, during an expedition to observe the dolphins in Sataya, in the Red Sea and met the breathtaking biodiversity of the coral reef of Elphinstone, in Egypt. The sea produces more than 50 percent of the oxygen we breathe And absorbs about a third of the carbon dioxide produced by human activities. However, it can only play this role if in « good health ». The exhibition arrives in Milan after the Venice stage in 2022, « on the occasion of the 40 years of activity of the Marevivo Foundation.
