The lines on the Narva border have practically disappeared
In anticipation and during Easter weekends, records once again beat records on the Narva border. People stood in the early morning, and this did not even guarantee them that they could cross the border on the same day.
Apparently, during Easter holidays, the throughput of the border point in Narva reached its peak. On Sunday, April 20, 1624 people crossed the border, which is almost twice as much as the usual daily indicator (800–900 people per day).
Narva is still one of the most convenient points for crossing the EU and Russia border-nearby is the Tallinn airport. Residents of Finland are also forced to travel to the Russian Federation through Narva.
Problems usually begin on the eve of the holidays – this year the Orthodox and Catholic Easter coincided, which led to huge queues.
People stood 12 hours and did not always manage to cross the border until the closing of the border crossing.
On April 21, the situation stabilized – the waiting time is about one and a half to two hours.
