Actress of the Year – Katrīna Rudzīte for the role of Giovanna in the show Adult false life, The new flour theater, Directed by Liga Milta.

Actor of the Year – Aivars Miller for the role of Master Valdemar in the show SanityUldis Sedlenieks Aluksne Folk Theater, directed by Daiga Bētere.

Actor of the Year 2 in the role of plan – Martins Kagainis on the role of Martins in the show Oliver, Jurmala Theater, director Imants Jaunzems.

For a successful portrayal in the role of plan 2 – Oscar Berzins on the role of Abram in the show Defrosted, Amateur Theater of Livani County Culture Center, director Oskars Berzins.

Actress of the Year 2. Blowing winds, Independent Youth Theater Me and we, Directed by Mikus Krastins.

For a successful portrayal in the role of plan 2 – Beāte Berzina for the role in Tanja’s show Some summer eveningsIndependent Theater of Liepaja, director Daina Kandevica.

Annual Episode – John Pampe on the Women’s Romance Writers’ Show Dachshund’s stories, Rezekne Folk Theater, directed by Mara Zaļaiskalns.

Visual image – Ineta Sipunova, Jurmala Theater Children and Youth Studio The coming of a stranger, Director Juris Jonelis.

Choreography – Annika Anderson for choreography in the show Macbeth, Jelgava New Theater, directed by Antra Leite-Straume.

Best makeup – Baiba Maido and Aiga Sproģe for makeup in the show MackerelJelgava’s new theater, directed by Antra Leite-Straume.

Best Musical Design – Aigars Godiņš on the musical design in the show Estonian funeral, Jekabpils Folk Theater, directed by Inta Ubele.

Best scenography – Jānis Bērziņš and Mikus Krastiņš on the scenography in the show Blowing winds, Independent Youth Theater Me and we, Director Mikus Krastins

The best costumes – Annika Anderson and Veronika Osipova for costumes in the show Macbeth, New Jelgava Theater, directed by Antra Leite-Straume.

Best Director – Inta Ubele for Director Estonian funeral, Jekabpils Folk Theater.

Best ensemble – Jekabpils Folk Theater.

The theatrical performance in the final was evaluated by theater scientist Līga Ulberte, stage speech lecturer, director Aina Matīsa, Rita Grīnfelde, Chairman of the Amateur Theaters Advisory Board, director Elmars Senkov; Annual Show 2023 Winner, director Aija Treija.

Jury spokesman, director Elmar Senkov: « This year the finalists are amazing with their literary choices – sophisticated, serious, deep. Pleased to see good playwrights, as well as extensive deep theme productions. Blow the wind!, which uses the classic form, showing new, alive at the same time. It is interesting to watch young people hear Raine. This is a big event because Rainis usually scares, but for young actors it is powerful. It is also a pleasure to see amateur theater masters who continue to work hard. Admittedly, there was a lack of diversity, courage to experiment, avoid usual paths. « 

Amateur theaters participated in the final of the show, whose productions had won the jury’s highest appreciation at the regional shows earlier this year: Jurmala Theater Children and Youth Studio (director Juris Jonelis), Independent Youth Theater Me and we, Talsi (director Mikus Krastiņš), Livani County KC Amateur Theater (director Oskars Berzins), Jekabpils Folk Theater (directed by Inta Ūbele), Jelgava New Theater (directed by Antra Leite-Straume), new flour theater (director Liga Milta) Sedlenieks Aluksne Folk Theater Threshold (directed by Daiga Bētere), Jurmala Theater (directed by Imants Jaunzems), Rezekne Folk Theater (directed by Mara Zaļaiskalns).

The aim of the Latvian Amateur Theaters Productions organized by the Latvian National Center for Culture is to ensure the preservation and continuity of amateur theaters in Latvia and the Latvian diaspora, to promote amateur theater productions in Latvian society and to motivate amateur theater members to work for creative activities.
