The largest sports amateur manifestation in Europe: 3000 children at the opening of the youth games
Twenty -ninth season Plasma of the Youth Sports Games The ceremonial ceremony was opened in Križevci. A suitable program of the largest sports amateur event was held on the day of the 773th anniversary of the announcement of the free royal town of Križevci, with a direct transfer to Arena Sport, Sport Club and N1 television in nine countries.
– During these 29 seasons, our goal remained the same, through sports to build a better future for you, children – said Zdravko MaricPresident and founder of Plasma Youth Sports Games.
Maric expressed his gratitude to the host town and all patrons who bring together sports together and allow participation in the games to be completely free of charge and added:
– Thanks to the Government, headed by Prime Minister Andrei Plenkovic for their continuous support and recognition of the importance of the games for children and young people. I also thank the Minister of Tourism and Sport Tonč Glavina who showed the sensibility for the games, as well as the Vice -President of the Government and Minister of the Interior Davor Božinović for his many years of support.
The City Day was celebrated with the traditional cutting of the cake for the 773th birthday of the town of Križevci, and Mayor Mario Rajn welcomed the attendees:
– The city of Križevci is indescribable to celebrate their birthday with the opening of the 29th plasma of the Youth Sports Games. I think we justified this great honor that we have justified our children who have come to socialize and compete today, and this event has made it clear to the City of Križevci and the wider community that only sports can create this community and spread a positive atmosphere and optimism.
Socializing, tolerance and inclusion, with the promotion of sports and a healthy lifestyle, are the goals of the plasma of sports games of young people. All individuals and freely formed teams have the right to participate, regardless of whether they are actively involved in sports. Positive social impact and responsibility for the participants to become responsible and aware members of the Society was recognized and the Government of the Republic of Croatia is an exceptional honor and satisfaction, and this year, to attend the opening of the plasma of the Youth Sports Games, which was emphasized by the Minister of Tourism and Sport Tonči Glavina in his address: Tonči Glavina:
– Congratulations to the organizers on another successful organized game, as well as everyone involved in this project, in which more than 115,000 children will participate this year, making as many as a quarter of school children in Croatia. This is why the Government strongly supports this project. My today’s message to the children is: it is important to grow with sports and to play physical activity, because it is the sport to help you one day be the winners in everything you do. It will build you into better people and responsible members of society because sports develop character, discipline and team spirit.
– This biggest amateur sports event in Europe provides everyone with the same opportunity to compete the same opportunity, but not to win medals and cups, but to celebrate effort and teamwork and experience the delight that each achieves the result. Investing in sports means investing in the future, which is why the Government of the Republic of Croatia will always support such manifestations that promote tolerance and non -violence, healthy communication and respect for other and other correct social values that we have to build together. Youth sports games were not possible without organizers, teachers, coaches and parents who support their children on a daily basis and motivate them to engage in this kind of activity to grow into healthy, happy, successful and responsible individuals – said Davor Bozinovic, Prime Minister Andrei Plenkovic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
The flames of the Youth Sports Games in Križevci, accompanied by children, were brought by Marko Kovacevic, NK Slaven Belupo coach and footballer Adriano Jagusic, led by Mark Tomas, a former basketball player and together with the distinguished guests on 29.
Plasma Youth Sports Games enjoy the support of numerous world institutions such as Uefa, Fibe, Fide, the International Olympic Committee, the European Commission and the European Union, as well as the support of top athletes and sports officials. Special greetings were also sent to the children by the Ambassadors of the Games, Luka Modric, Sime Vrsaljko and Edin Dzeko. They regretted not being present, but they said they were seeing the games soon.
More than 3,000 children socialized at the opening ceremony, but also competed in the Border Guard as part of the Telemach Day of Sport. Also, the qualifying tournaments of the largest football tournament in Europe-Cola Cup, FIDE Tournament in chess and table tennis were held, and « Zero Waste-Buda part of the game-let’s keep our planet » sports and economic project. A rich program as part of the opening ceremony and the City of Križevci Day was celebrated by the performances of kindergarten groups and choirs of children from Križevci.
The importance of socializing and equality in sports was also emphasized by Ana Kovacevic, Group Brand Manager Bambi AD:
– What makes this manifestation is a special energy and joy that you all bring into every moment, and equal opportunities for everyone. I would like to encourage you to always believe in yourself, to strive to be as good as possible, but to always be true friends, whether you are on the field or on the side, you are all part of one team. That’s why children: play, hang out, and enjoy every moment. And we are here with you, step by step, to the finals and the winning throne!

Plasma Youth Sports Games provide children with elementary and high school students that from January to September they are fully participating in competitions organized at a professional level in 10 sports: Coca-Cola Cup in football, Tommy football tournament, HEP handball tournament, volleyball, package24 Cup in the Uljeli. Chess tournament, beach volleyball, table tennis and border guards and athletics as part of Telemach Sport Day. Plasma Youth Sports Games this year will bring together more than 340,000 children and young people in Croatia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Slovenia.
