The largest event industry event in the Baltic region invites you to submit projects


Since 2013 The Baltic Pitching Forum is the only short film industry event in the Baltic region to draw the attention of producers, film investors, festival leaders, distributors, television and online platforms to the Baltic film industry. The importance of forum in the international film context is evidenced not only by the growing involvement of foreign experts every year, but also by the success stories of alumni projects. These include Estonian director Anna Hints and Tshar Prakash short film « Sauna Day », which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year.

For more than five years, projects from not only the Baltic States, but also from one country-public-have been presented in the forum-with the aim of expanding professional contacts, new co-production opportunities, and to get to know film talent from other European countries. This year, filmmakers from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Hungary are invited to the Baltic Pitching Forum, developing short films of short films of feature, animated or hybrid genre. The duration of the projects submitted for the forum should not exceed 30 minutes, films should be focused on an international audience. Registration deadline – June 29.

From the submitted projects, the selection panel will select the 12 strongest and most prominent international potential for future short films. Virtual consultations with screenwriter Ana Bielak (Poland) will be welcomed in early September. October 7-10. Project representatives at the Baltic Pitching Forum event in Vilnius will have the opportunity to participate in intensive project presentation training with expert Gabriele Brunnenmeyer (Germany), followed by the projects developed to the Commission of Foreign Experts, made up of significant representatives of European festivals, television, film production and distribution companies. Anyone interested in the short film industry and the capabilities of the general production with the Baltic countries will be able to participate in the open parts of the program – lectures, discussions and project presentation sessions.

At the end of the forum, the International Commission of Experts will select the best projects in the Baltic States to be awarded by travel cards to significant film industry events: the world’s largest short film festival Klermon-Ferrano Coproduction Foam Euro Connection (France) and Shorto Film Market, a short film Film Film Film Twice ‘(Italy). Another prize will be awarded by the Baltic Producers ‘Jury Commission – the Media award of the Baltic Producers’ Producers, established by Media’s office in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Also among the awards are the prize « UP Records Sound Post-Production Award » established by the Lithuanian audio post-production company UP Records.
