Some names raise question marks.
The city of Martin has a specific position in the history of Slovakia. It was the scene of several historical events that contributed to its development. For some time it was even an adept for the position of the capital of Slovakia.
The present is a little more common. And this also applies from an economic point of view. Among the largest employers in the city are the University Hospital and the Company Unilabs Slovakia and ECCO Slovakia.
In our report, we focused on companies that do not make this region a good name, namely the largest tax debtors in the Martin district, which includes two more cities and four dozen municipalities. The ranking was based on the financial administration data.
Why are we looking for debtors
In the series Black Sheep we search for financial administration debtors in individual regions of Slovakia. The aim of the series is to create a kind of shame. Regional debtors are often not only devoted to nationwide but also regional media. At the same time, tax non -payers often live in anonymity without knowing their surroundings that they do not classify as honest entrepreneurs.
