The Kremlin rejects Zelenska’s proposal for 30 -day ceasefire / day
Dictator’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov has stated that the « nuances » should be taken into account in the long -term ceasefire.
When US President Donald Trump initiated a 30 -day ceasefire in Russia in March against Ukraine, Putin listed a number of absurd conditions.
They included a ban on Ukraine to use a pause to regroup and re -armed their power and a ban on the supply of Western armaments to Kijiva. In return, he did not offer any concessions.
Putin announced a unilateral ceasefire from 8 to 10 May reportedly.
Peskov described the dictator’s offer as « a gesture of good will », while Zelensky emphasized that Putin’s statement of ceasefire was « another attempt at manipulation ».
Ukraine, in response to Putin’s statement of 72 hours of cessation of fire, has expressed an anti -offering to announce an immediate and prolonged ceasefire.
« If Russia really wants peace, it has to stop fire immediately, » Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibih said on social communication platform X.
Ukraine is ready to support a permanent, stable and general cessation of fire, Sibiha emphasized, adding that the initial ceasefire should last for at least 30 days, not just as long as Moscow holds the military parade.
The administration of US President Donald Trump has also expressed dissatisfaction with Russia’s offer. White House spokeswoman Kerolain Levita said Trump wants to permanently stop fire and that with a three -day ceasefire.
