The initiative of a policeman left with an error
A policeman from Prahova did his own anti-drug test and went positive. It was during the service. Subsequently forced to do blood tests, they showed that the test had been false.
The question marks regarding the accuracy of the tests to detect the drugs used by the Road Police raises problems.
The incident took place on April 1, and the policeman in question is from the road compartment of the Băicoi City Police, according to IPJ Prahova representatives.
« At the opening of the device, he noticed that it has an error. For this reason, to ensure whether or not the device is in the optimal operating parameters, it decided to test. The device showed a positive result, for which it went to a medical unit, where biological evidence was collected, » Prahova Police said on Friday.
Laboratory results indicated that the policeman is not drugs
« In view of this situation, respectively the error on the device prior to the test, as well as the result of the test in question, the Prahova Road Service sent the device, for additional checks and remedy the deficiencies, » according to Prahova Police representatives.
The incident brings back the question of both test quality and legislation that applies if the preliminary test comes out positive.
