The hunter card for the next hunting season has been received by 1430 hunters / day

The hunter’s season card can be purchased in the Forest Register. The VMD notes that the hunter’s season card in the particular hunting season gives the right to hunting with hunting weapons and hunting tools, both limited and unimaginable. It is forbidden to hunt without a seasonal card in Latvia.
The Service invites hunters to buy seasonal cards in a timely manner so that when the new hunting season begins, the load does not cause disruption to the State Register of Forest Register. In the previous 2024/2025 hunting season, 19,012 active hunter season cards were issued, of which 90% of the hunters have applied and paid for them online in the Forest State Register.
In order to receive the hunter’s season card for the 2025/2026 hunting season, the state fee of 30 euros must be paid. A rate of € 15 can be obtained at a rate of € 15, indicating a document certifying that a person is an age or pensioner, a person with the first, second or third disability group, a full -time student of a state accredited higher education institution, a person aged 16 to 18, and a person from a lot of children.
It is still possible to purchase seasonal cards in VMD units or to pay them outside the forest register. However, the Service informs that the payment of season cards outside the forest national register can significantly delay receipt of the new season card.
The VMD is a direct administrative authority under the supervision of the Minister of Agriculture, which monitors forest management, compliance with hunting and nature protection regulations, as well as implementing the protection of forest fire. The Service maintains the State Register of Forest, where information on forest, economic activity, hunting and hunting animals is collected.
