The amendment to the Constitution submitted by the Government Block Fidesz-KDNP introduces constitutional right to use financial cash, ban on drug use and enabling overpopulated municipalities or cities to prohibit further immigration of people.

The amendment also addresses the protection of the human dignity of the affected people and the formulation of the person’s sex is also intended into the basic law that the sex of a person at birth is a biological property and can only be male or female.

The amendment also applies to the regulations of the state of emergency, the service of the prosecutors and the possibility to suspend Hungarian citizenship citizens who have citizenship of another state.

The Constitution of Hungary was adopted on April 18, 2011, and came into force a week later. In the meantime, the document, which its authors claimed to be immutable, was amended in the meantime for 15 times. It has been rewritten up to three times the following year, recalls HVG.HU.

The Assembly Act is also reviewed by the European Commission, because it violates several rules and principles of the European Union. Michael O’Flahety, a Commissioner of the human rights, called on the President of the Hungarian Parliament László Kövér to review the legislation, because he believes that he will lead to the impossible of the Pride march, to criminalize peaceful demonstrators and stigmatization of LGBTI people, and thus violating the principles of the rule of law.
