Athletes and recreationalists of all ages from Skopje and several cities in the country, despite the rain, have joined the humanitarian race « All for Kocani-We Trade Together » held today at Medina Vodno. More than a hundred participants in two categories of men and women took part in both races, one five kilometers and the other 10 kilometers. It was running from Medina Vodno to the monastery « St. Panteleimon » and back.

The humanitarian race for the victims in Kocani was organized by the EU Delegation to Skopje and the European House Network in six cities across the country, on the occasion of Europe Day. EU Ambassador Michalis Rokas congratulated the top three at five and 10 kilometers and handed them medals.

Roberto Dimitrievski won the first place in the 10km race, Sasko Petkov was second and third Jovica Ristovski. In the women’s competition, Katarina Jovanovska was the first place, the second was Meri Seso Najdenovska, and Natasha Shopova’s third place.

Viktoria Todorovska, second Elena Stojceva Andreevska, and third Clara Blinkov was the first in the race. For five kilometers men came to Seat Klimentic, Goran Brnjarcevski was second and third deco Markov.

– I am happy to have won the race that was strenuous because of the rain, but I was involved in expressing humanity to my peers from Kocani who needed further rehabilitation. We young people need to help ourselves and support when it is most needed. I came to Skopje this morning from Veles. On the Medina Vodno track, neither heavy and uninterrupted rain prevented me from doing my best and to win and thus give my support to those who need the most support in their difficult recovery race, said Roberto Dimitrievski.

The money raised from the race will be paid to the Red Cross account and will be sent to the victims in Kocani who need rehabilitation and recovery.
