The high school of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez on strike against the reintegration of students excluded for school harassment-Liberation

For teachers, there is an inconsistency in the decision. What arouse the misunderstanding of nearly 100 of the 120 teachers of the establishment as well as the staff of the administration and school life, on strike this Monday, May 5 for a day.

The rectorate published a press release recalling its commitment to the fight against school harassment. But, « Certain errors and omissions, moreover recognized by the school head, have led the members of the appeal commission to be proposed, unanimously, to match these two decisions of exclusion of a stay ».

Contacted by Releasethe director of cabinet of the Rectress of Nice, Valérie Neumann, assures that the protection of the victim will be guaranteed by the establishment and that the students will be distributed in different classes. Valérie Neumann also underlines the geographic isolation of the Lycée du Golfe de Saint-Tropez and the students who study there. Despite the justifications provided by the rectorate, the misunderstanding also dominates among the parents of students. The latter also informed their support for striking teachers. “Our positioning is clear: we should not disavow our teams on a case of harassment.
