The heat pump allows independence – you have heat when you want and pay for what you use

In recent years, interest in highly efficient heating and cooling systems has increased significantly. The reason for this is not only the change in climate, but also the growing expectations of people for comfort and independence from traditional energy sources. If two decades ago, most households relying on gas boilers or solid fuel, today the heat pump systems have established themselves as one of the best solutions for the modern home.

With over 1 300,000 hydron heat pumpsinstalled in Europe since 2006, Daikin is the number one manufacturer in the industry and leader in the field of heating, ventilation and air -conditioning (HVAC) systems. The Japanese company celebrated its 100th anniversary last year, and for almost 20 years on the market has been on its heat-pumping solution Altherma (a word game-from all-mermal, for all temperatures, as it provides year-round heating, hot water supply and cooling, as it replaces traditional fuel systems.

« We live in a time when technology allows us to control the microclimate at home in the most efficient and convenient way. What looked like a luxury years ago is now standard, » says Eng. Ivan Shishkov, owner of Tulips, a company with many years of experience in HVAC systems and an official Daikin representative in Bulgaria.

Change in attitudes – from traditional systems to intelligent solutions

Years ago, customers relied entirely on the recommendations of the masters and often chose standard solutions such as radiators, solid fuel boilers or gas installations. Today, however, more and more people are looking for personalized solutions that not only provide comfort, but also be energy -efficient and environmentally friendly.

“17 years ago when we sold the first Daikin Althermait was extremely difficult to convince customers that an electricity device can be more effective than traditional heating methods, « explains Eng. Shishkov. » Today, things are different – people come informed, know what they want and look for long -term solutions. «

This change is logical given the increasing price of fuels, as well as European policies promoting the use of renewable energy sources. The heat pumps offer just this – economical and sustainable heating, cooling and hot water in one.

How do heat pumps work and why are the best choice

The basic principle of heat pumps is based on the extraction of heat from the surrounding air and its transfer to the heating system of the home. They can be combined with different methods of heat spreading – underfloor heating, fan convectors or low -temperature radiators – which provides even warming of the room.

« The advantage of heat pumps is that they not only heat up, but create a complete climate control system. This means that with one system you can have comfort throughout the year without depending on gas or solid fuel, » said Eng. Shishkov.

With what comfort in heat pumps is better than air conditioners

Heat pump systems offer a more natural and even distribution of heat than air conditioners, in which discomfort often occurs, especially when a person is in the airflow path. In addition, if the home does not have central heating, air conditioners cannot provide hot water, which means that it must be heated by an electric boiler – a solution that leads to higher energy costs.

Heat pumps, on the other hand, operate all year round in a heat pump mode, providing both heating, cooling and hot water.

An additional advantage of hydron heat pumps is the use of heat carriers such as water or saline solution. This is important because water has a high heat inertia – even after the system is switched off, it continues to radiate heat for a while, thus maintaining a stable room temperature. In air conditioners, on the contrary-as the appliance is switched off, the depressed warm air begins to cool quickly, which requires more frequent operation of the appliance and higher electricity costs.

What do we need to know when choosing a heat pump

The choice of a heat pump is not simply reduced to the purchase of a device to be included in the socket. It is a complex system that must be carefully designed and adapted to the specific characteristics of the home to ensure maximum efficiency and comfort.

« The heat pump system is much more complicated than the air conditioner – and therefore it is more complicated to calculate, planned and integrated correctly, » explains Eng. Ivan Shishkov. The heat pump system, in addition to the heat pump itself, includes various components – pipe road, underfloor heating, fan convectors, radiators, hot water boiler, controllers, solar system connection.

« Like the kitchen order, which must be comfortable and functional, the heating system must also be tailored to the home and the individual needs of the user. » It is important, emphasizes Shishkov, to seek a balance between the initial investment and the operating costs. Consultation with specialists and the choice of quality products such as Daikin’s guarantees long -term efficiency and comfort, he is adamant.

Among the main factors to take into account when choosing a heat pump is the size of the home. For smaller apartments an excellent solution is the systems Multi Split and Multi+, which combine high energy efficiency and compactness.
Multi+ is a unique development of Daikin, which combines heating, cooling and producing hot water into one integrated solution. The outdoor unit works in parallel with internal climatic bodies and domestic hot water boiler, which makes it an extremely practical choice for small apartments where the space is limited. In addition to providing comfort throughout the year, this technology also optimizes the cost of installation per square meter, which makes it an economically affordable option for urban housing. It is important to note that Daikin air conditioners are also air-to-air heat pumps, which means that they not only cool but also effectively heat the premises using a minimum amount of energy.
Climate conditions are another important aspect -some models are specially designed to operate effectively even at extremely low temperatures up to -28 ° C, making them a reliable choice for colder regions. The possibility of integration with solar panels is also among the trends in modern heat pumps. Some of the Daikin Altherma models can be combined with solar collectorswhich further reduces electricity costs and increases system efficiency.

Heat pumps in residential cooperatives – independence and efficiency

One of the greatest benefits of heat pumps is that they can be an individual solution for each apartment in one building. This means that the owners have complete control over their heating and costs without depending on central steam or general gas installation.

In traditional district heating systems, the user often pays not only for his heating, but also for losses on long recirculation lines. The heat pump allows independence – you have heat when you want and only pay for what you use.

What lies in the sector

Technology continues to develop, with hybrid heat pumps and integrated air-conditioning and hot water solutions are becoming more and more popular.

« The heat pumps are not the future-they are the present. The sooner people realize this, the faster we will move on to the smarter and more sustainable systems, » says Eng. Shishkov. According to him, the market for HVAC technology in Bulgaria is growing dynamically, with more and more people being aware of the benefits of energy efficiency.

« With the investment in a heat pump system, several key advantages are achieved – year -round home comfort, lower monthly energy costs and long -term investment resistance, thanks to the high efficiency and reliability of the system, » Ivan Shishkov concludes.
