The head of the European Council comes to discuss Ukraine and more EU priorities
European Council Chairman Antonio Costa will be in Bulgaria between April 27 and 29, the Council announced on Friday.
He will visit Sofia, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, as well as the Arsenal military factories in Kazanlak.
The Council’s announcement said he wanted to discuss with Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov the European Defense and EU support for Ukraine, competitiveness, migration and expansion. His visit to the Arsenal factories is also explained by their role in « strengthening the European defense industry and providing stable support for Ukraine against the background of Russian aggression. »

The Costa program also includes visits to the Thracian University of Stara Zagora and its Aquaponica Center, which works on a project for co -cultivation of fish and hydroponic cultivation, developing sustainable food production.
In Plovdiv, he is invited to examine « Philippopolis Art Center » and in Sofia – Institute of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (Insait), Pioneer Research Institute, where artificial intelligence -based projects are being developed in various sectors, including one of the six European artificial intelligence factories.
