The HDZ complains: ‘The sovereigns in Vukovar call voters and tell them who to vote for!’
The candidate for deputy mayor of Vukovar, HDZ’s Goran Beddra, complained on Saturday to an attempt to influence voters in Vukovar to give a voice to the Croatian sovereign candidate for the mayor of Vukovar in the second round of elections.
– We have complained to us by a number of our fellow citizens who voted for me and candidate for Mayor Domagoj Bilic in the first round of elections that they were contacting the phone with the aim of changing their attitude and in the second round they vote to the opposite side – said Bendra.
He told the voters that they were not afraid and did not agree to the indulgence, and the rivals in the campaign sent the appeal to do all together to bring the electoral race to an end in fair and honest way.
– We achieved the victory at more than 70 percent of the polling stations and this is exactly the indication of whom the citizens of Vukovar want to lead the city for the next four years- said the coalition led by the HDZ and DP guarantees that projects will start in Vukovar and end up and bring new investments to the city.
According to him, all those who think in this way and care about Vukovar will be welcomed by partners at the Vukovar City Council.
In the first round of election for Vukovar Mayor Domagoj Bilic, he won 41.60 in front of the coalition led by DP and the HDZ, while Marijan Pavlicek from Croatian sovereigns received the trust of 36.88 percent of voters.
