The handbags with which the West boasts are supposed to be from the east
In a ticket video that has received more than ten million views so far, the Senbags2 user claimed that at least 80 percent of prestigious handbags were produced in China. According to him, luxury brands from Chinese factories take almost finished handbags and then only add their logo to them and further retouch with packaging.
The profile was later suspended and video deleted, and the accusations of the user have already triggered a wave of guesses about the authenticity of products with dizzying prices.

Luxury brands offer clothing and accessories created from expensive materials, and promise a meticulous work under the hands of honestly paid craftsmen. The 2023 extras reported 250 luxury fashion brands. At the very top of those who dress the elite and who are widely known and recognized, it is between 70 and 100 stamps. These brands are often part of fashion groups such as LVMH and Kering.
According to Lyst’s online provider, last year, the most popular luxury brands were Prada, Miu Miu and Saint Laurent.
EU and US regulation
Senbags2’s claims are primarily denied by regulations in the US and Europe. In order to receive the product « Made and USA », most of the materials and raw materials used in the United States must be made, and most of the work must be done in the US. Italy and France have even more rigorous requirements to defend the reputation of their brands. In both countries, the completion of the product production must be fully implemented in the country of origin and only in this way can the manufacturer receive the label « Made in Italy » or « Made and France ».
Many French brands meet the Origine France Garantie (OFG) certification requirements, which is the strictest national certificate. This proves that design, material acquisition, tailoring, assembly and finishing are done in France.
The French company Hermes proves the authenticity of his handbags with the stamp of the craftsman who made his purse. The stamp is marked by the year of birth and the workshop where the bag was created.
