The green energy expansion is to be accelerated
51 specific measures presented Lex Delles (DP), Minister for Economics, Energy and Tourism, together with Environment Minister Serge Wilmes (CSV). This is intended to accelerate and simplify the use of renewable energies in Luxembourg. The measures are the result of the previous consultation « Simple – Séier – Hnerenierbar ».
Solutions have been found together « that are intended to strengthen Luxembourg’s energy sovereignty and increase the resilience on both national and individual level compared to international conflicts and fluctuations at the energy market, » said Minister of Economics Delles. The 51 measures elaborated should offer citizens and companies concrete perspectives in order to contribute to increasing the national production of renewable energies. ”
Simplified and digitized procedures
Several measures are intended to counteract lengthy and complex approval procedures: the deadlines are shortened, the advice is bundled in a central point of contact and the procedures are digitized, and certain permits are also eliminated at the local level.
« In order to promote the acceptance of citizens, measures for information and sensitization are introduced, » the ministers continue to report. The role of the climate agency and the urban planning and environmental office is strengthened in this context. In addition, the programs for financial support are adapted; The pre -financing of systems is to be accelerated.
In addition, there is the abolition of the building permit for small photovoltaic systems, a simplification of the rules that must be observed in photovoltaic systems for protected buildings, as well as more targeted information about simulation tools for the possibilities of self -consumption.
According to the announcement, there are already eleven of the 51 measures in implementation, be it through laws, regulations or administrative regulations, 26 are to be implemented in whole or in part by summer 2025.
