The grandfather of Lucia and Luke sends us all their works for ‘Children’s Drawing’: ‘They are my greatest pride’
Children to wish. Unto -quality, honest, happy and carefree. Such are 6-year-old Luka and 10-year-old Lucija Hudoletnjak from Salinovac near Ivanec.
Although they are both a little timid, they know full well what they want.

Their day is filled with school and numerous hobbies, but they often draw often
Luke and Lucia have many virtues, and one of them is artistic creativity. They also testify to the works that regularly send their grandfather Stjepan to the editorial staff.
– I’ve been retired for 15 years and grandchildren have been the center of my world. I love them and I like to encourage them – said Stjepan Hudoletnjak, who regularly sent the works of his grandchildren to our newsroom. We have received as many as 46 of their art works published in the newspaper as ‘Children’s Drawings’.
– To be clear, there was never a forcing on my part that something had to be done. To Lucia, her art inspiration comes every now and then, and her brother Luka follows her in the footsteps. My heart is a lot to me – their grandfather points out. Of the 46 works he sent to the newsroom, as many as 40 painted Lucia.
– I like to paint animals, flowers, ships, nature. Oh, I draw something every day, whenever I’m bored, I draw. Maybe one day I become an artist or doctor. This is a current dilemma-laughs Lucia, who is a member of the local KUD and a member of the Youth of the Salinovec Volunteer Fire Company, and her goal is to enroll in a piano at the Music School.

With a talented painter Lucia and Luke, the paper, pencils and colors, and that – successfully
– I am currently playing the synthesizer and learning that through the internet. I hope to be able to fall into music school – Lucia added.
Her brother is currently first. He is also a member of the DVD Salinovec and KUD Salinovec. He also plays guitar, and plays football at the Ivancica football club.
He fell in love with his sister.
– I watched her who draws all the time, so I started. I like to draw fish or football terrain. She is the boss, so I try to follow her – points out Luka, who is mostly on the mind of football.
« I would like to become a football player one day, » he says shyly.
Luke and Lucia all week is filled with numerous activities and obligationsbut the school comes first.
– School obligations are in the first place. They are both executed – says mother Valentina. With all this, both grandchildren’s grandfather learned to play chess, and the mother and father of the remote teach them to be independent.
– There are no cell phones and playstation except for the weekend. But what we have taught them from a young age is to be independent. That they know how to make breakfast, to clean up. But the most important thing to be decent and honest young people – Father Dario concluded.
