« Some press lawsuits have been prolonged for five to six years and after that period they are no longer meaningful. This law will therefore make it possible to specialize some senates in such an agenda and thus resolve such disputes faster, » he said after discussing a point in the government.
He stressed that the proposed amendment was not primarily aimed at protecting politicians, as well as pointed out that it was in accordance with European law. « We were inspired by legal practice in France, » he added.
Fico refers to lobbying and transparency

He also stressed that the bill is based on European standards and has nothing to do with the laws on foreign agents, such as the US or Israeli.
Taraba connects public resources with control
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Environment Tomáš Taraba stated before the government meeting that the legislative amendment on non -profit organizations is not bullying. He appealed to the efforts to arrange the financing of NGOs.
« If a non -governmental organization uses public resources for its activities, it should be subject to transparency control such as public officials, » the Deputy Prime Minister said.
At the same time, it also considers it important that the amendment to the law and the latest adjustments that have been made in it « do not » climb « the activities of non -profit organizations, such as charitable associations that obviously have nothing to do with their activities with politics. At the same time, he added that he has no problem if the question of lobbying will be addressed in other areas, for example in the case of armament companies.
Neither the Minister of Justice Boris Susko of Direction does not think that the amendment to the Act on Non -Profit Organizations is liquidation for NGOs, it does not perceive anything bad if the law is to lead to transparent financing of non -governmental non -profit organizations.
Nor is he afraid that the legislation « encountered » the institute. He also believes that the coalition will find a match in the draft amendment to the Act. « I assume that since it is in the government, there is a match in the coalition, » Susko added.
Administrative burden
The draft amendment to the Act on non -profit organizations from the CIS workshop is to bring several changes. According to him, the non -profit organization or foundation is to introduce an obligation to draw up a statement of transparency.
It should also include information about persons who have contributed more than EUR 5,000 to the activities of the organization per year. It should also be published in the identification data of the authorities or members of the organization body.
The draft amendment to the Act on publishers of publications AO Register in the field of media and audiovisions also submitted the CIS. The amendment reintroduces the concept of the right to repair, which replaces the currently used concept of the right to a statement.
The right to repair is based on the existing legislation, but the submitted bill is strengthened by the attributes and conditions of its application.
It is also introduced by the Operator’s obligation to set up a separate e -mail address for the purpose of exercising the right to repair and to be given on the front page of the news web portal.
Even in the case of this legislative proposal, the Prime Minister emphasizes the link with the declared objectives in PVV « to create conditions for the equal functioning of all media and at the same time prevent it from being unlawfully interferinging to the freedom of the word, the freedom of broadcasting and the right to disseminate information ».
From government negotiations:
