The Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution that will allow new categories of specialists to be involved in work with veterans and combatants. It is about orientation experts in space and escort experts.

Not only veterans and military, but also members of their families, persons with disabilities as a result of war, as well as families of the missing and dead will be able to receive their help during their stay in medical institutions.

Orientation experts in space They will help people who have lost their eyesight as a result of war, master the skills of self -movement, adapt to new living conditions, and maintain contact with the patient’s family for a more effective adaptation process.

Specialists in support They will work with veterans and demobilized since the first days of their stay in hospitals or for rehabilitation. They will help to navigate new life circumstances, advise on medical services, registration of documents, accompany them in state institutions, as well as provide emotional and psychological support.

« Our goal is to create a clear, accessible and effective support system for veterans and their families. Involvement of support and orientation experts is another step to ensure that such support is truly noticeable: daily, in simple but important things. It is about concern, dignity and respect for those who have protected. » – said the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko.
