The government allocates huge million amounts to the green transition

Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Jacob Jensen says:

“We have a strong Danish biosolution industry that provides solutions that are known to be safe and of towering quality in, among other things, the agricultural and food sector. But the competition for green technologies is great and we risk being overtaken. Therefore, we must continue to support the development of biosolutions and maintain the Danish position of strength in the field. For that reason, I am really pleased that the government and the parliamentary parties have allocated DKK 60 million. DKK to establish test development and demonstration facilities to make it easier for businesses to develop and scale their sustainable products and solutions. ”

Anne Marie Hansen, member of the Danish Business Promotion Board and Director of Agro Food Park, says:

“It is crucial that more SMEs have better access to relevant facilities in new green key technologies, because the development in the field is going incredibly strong. If the new offers are to be relevant, it is essential that the plants have high volume and high quality so that companies can test and scale up their solutions commercially – we emphasize that when we look at the applications under the pool. ”

The 60 million DKK is implemented by the Danish Business Promotion Board, and applications are open now. The funds are implemented for the establishment of new plants in the technologies CO2-to-protein and precision fermentation on a larger scale. Both technologies are important in the green transition as they create an alternative to animal protein and reduce the need to produce meat and dairy products that emit significant amounts of CO2.
