The good deed does not have a season, but only the heart that starts – the angle – you see the world as it is!
In the municipality of Ungheni, the Association « Prosperira and Development » was established recently, a soul approach that aims to support the local community both spiritually and materially. The initiative belongs to the priest Adrian Lupu, the parish priest of the « Good News » Orthodox Church in the Ungheni Vale district, who considers that « the good deed does not have a season, but only the heart that starts ».
The new association assumes an active role in the life of the community, wanting to respond to the real needs of the people and to channel the support of the parishioners and the Church to concrete help projects. From food packages offered around the big religious holidays to support for children from vulnerable families, the association is involved where the most need is. « We want to be close to people, not only in the word, but also in fact. Visits at home, offering a package, a warm word, are gestures that matter enormously for those who live in loneliness or shortcomings.
Support comes not only from the local community, but also from soul partners in Romania and Italy. The parishes in Bucharest, Sighetul Marmaiei, as well as the public associates in Maramureș, have constantly offered help through food, hygiene products, supplies and clothing. The « Delia » kindergarten in Ungheni is also an active partner in the association’s actions.
A symbol of generosity is also the « Mile box » located in the church, intended for aid collection for « the saddest like us ». Thanks to the goodwill of the believers, but also the involvement of the volunteers – paraclisiers, church singers and young people from the community – a true culture of mercy, as Father Lupu calls it. « The association is, in essence, an extension of the mission of the Church in the world. Together with the good people and the volunteers dedicated, we try to cultivate hope, to bring light where it is dark and to give voice to Christian values, » the priest added.
The Association « Prosper and Development » is therefore more than an NGO: it is a heart that beats the needs of the community, a bridge between faith, solidarity and development. Those who want to join are expected with open arms – either as volunteers or donors, so that together they will build a brighter future for Ungheni.
We mention that the newly established association has signed a partnership agreement with the City Hall of Ungheni.
