Naim Frashëri School in Elbasan will be one of the open shipyards, part of the investment to transform educational infrastructure undergoing total reconstruction.

This long -awaited investment will bring about fundamentally positive changes for 730 students who will learn in new environments with contemporary conditions as well as 72 teachers who contribute daily to educating younger generations.

Total reconstruction will include in -depth interference throughout the school structure, guaranteeing security, convenience and modern standards for a worthy educational environment.

« Education is the foundation of the present and the future, so through this investment and not only, we are building more opportunities for children and students of Elbasan, » said Mayor Gledian Latja. For more than a decade this school has been teaching with two shifts and has always been the request of the mayor, lobbying for the ministry and government for the total reconstruction of this old school in Elbasan, which has brought out talented generations of students for more than 50 years, maintaining a valuable museum with the figures that have given their education in Elbasan…

Little history for Naim Frashëri School

Founded for the first time in 1908, the Naim Frashëri School is one of the earliest educational institutions in the city of Elbasan. The current building where the school operates was built in 1967 and has since served as an important hotbed for generations of students. With a long tradition and dedicated pedagogical staff, the school has maintained a strong educational identity, contributing significantly to the education of city children. Inside there is a museum corner, commemorating the most prominent figures who have contributed to the history of education in Elbasan. With this reconstruction, it will not only be a modern school, but also a symbol of respect for heritage and dedication to the future.
