The gas company became involved in the investment of the death of Gene Hackman: 'We have not found traces of poisoning'
The gas company participates in an investigation into the death of Oscar -winner Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa, in the midst of a report suggesting that the couple died of suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.
Hackman, 95, and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, 63, have been dead for some time when their bodies, along with their dog's body, were found on Wednesday afternoon at their home in Santa Fe, investigators reported.
According to a report from the detective from the Santa Fe district, Hackman's body was found in the auxiliary room, while his wife's body was next to the bathroom heater.
Police said they had no doubt that it was a criminal offense, and a spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Office, Denise Avila, added that there was no indication that they had a gunshot wound or any other injury.
New Mexico Gas gas spokesman, a team team, confirmed for Associated Press that the company cooperates with the Sheriff's Office in the investigation.
After the discovery of the body, gas installations were tested inside and around the house and no problems were identified, but one of the detectives noted that people exposed to gas leaks did not necessarily have to show clear poisoning signs.
