The SBU reported that it prevented a terrorist attack in Odessa, delaying the FSB agent who planned to undermine the Ukrainian serviceman.

Details: According to the results of the special operation, the Russian agent was detained, who was tasked with undermining the officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the executor of the Russian Federation was a 31-year-old resident of Odesa region, recruited through telegram channels.

The intelligence service explains that initially the agent set the so -called « test » task – to set fire to a military car. After doing this, the man received instructions for organizing an attempt.

According to the case, the Russians pointed to him with a cross with components for explosives, which should then be laid on the site of the military – at the playground in one of the residential areas of Odessa. Then the Russian intelligence services planned to activate the SVP remotely with the help of a mobile phone that was equipped with an explosion.

The SBU operatives detained the attacker « on the hot » immediately after he laid the explosive device at the site of the planned terrorist attack.

Currently, the detainee has been reported suspicion of the following articles: a completed attempt to commit a terrorist act on a prior conspiracy by a group of persons, deliberate destruction of property by arson by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, obstruction of the legitimate activity of the Armed Forces in a special period committed by a group of persons.

He was chosen by a preventive measure – detention without the right to make bail.
