Bojničanka Eva Šidová, a recognized expert on the old varieties of Jabloní, confirms this view.

« Vegetation is a significant forward this year too. Normally the flowers would not be open yet, but warm the weather It has led to the fact that peaches, apricots and some cherries have already bloomed, ”she said.

Apricots, peaches and cherries are most at risk

According to Polcer, the most flowering apricots suffer from such early spring frosts.

« We currently have apricots after flowering. People will soon find out whether the fruits remain or start to brown and fall, » he said.

Peaches are currently in full flower and, as Eva Šidová points out, their flowers are also very sensitive.
