The incident occurred in mid -April. According to investigative findings, a 46-year-old man contacted a woman by phone, claiming to be an officer of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau. He claimed that he was involved in the development of a dangerous criminal group dealing with extorting money. He needed – as he assured – her support in conducting surgery.
In a telephone conversation, the fraudster convinced the woman that her help is crucial for the success of the action. He asked her to go to the exchange office in Warsaw’s Śródmieście and transfer the money to the indicated bill.
Three transfers, hundreds of thousands of zlotys
