The fourth contemporary dance festival Horos / Day will take place in Aizpute
“The series of the show program is the body’s renaissance with the importance of restoring interest in the body. Like in the Middle Ages, the body was discredited by religious dogma, even nowadays – in the Digital Transformation Age – we have come to a similar challenge. Opportunities to develop the human body’s movements and senses, which would be an organic need for a natural environment. Or resume important dialogue with your own and other bodies.
Horos, first of all, is the time and space for contemporary dance artists to develop their new work ideas. Therefore, those interested will also have the opportunity to meet Horos residents and their new work ideas, June 6, at. 17.00 in a meeting at the club Kurzeme, where the artists will present what they have invented and accomplished in the residence process.
Horos The circle of residents of 2025 consists of dance artists Laima Jaunzema, who will work in tandem with artist Mačeja Sado (Poland), Agate Bankava, Sintija Siliņa, Ieva Gaurilčikaite-Sants (Latvia/Lithuania) and Dominika Markevičiute (Lithuania).
