The FLF stars spend their summer break in these places
When the national players step out of the changing rooms after the game against Ireland on Tuesday evening, they are relaxed. Some calls with friends or family, some even pass the mixed zone with their mini version. The season is over for most players, the view is accordingly directed towards the summer break.
« The vacation is booked. It is also well -deserved, for each of us, » says Laurent Jans. The captain is looking forward to the game -free time in which regeneration and relaxation are mainly on the program. « It is good to switch off and get down a bit. Not only physically, but also mentally. »
My favorite travel destination is South Africa. That was a highlight for me.

In order to be able to rest optimally, the 32-year-old is particularly important for the 32-year-old when choosing the destination: it must be warm. This year the choice falls on Portugal. « We have been there several times. We like it very much, » says Jans and says: « I will definitely enjoy the vacation. » Because the defensive player generally likes to travel. In particular, he explored the south of Europe intensively. « I’ve been everywhere. From Italy to Spain to Portugal. »
However, the country, which the captain particularly impressed, is on another continent. « My favorite travel destination is South Africa. It was a highlight for me, » remembers Jan’s vacation. Long-distance places are very popular with the FLF stars. Tomas Moreira spends his days off in the Caribbean. « I fly to Cuba with my girlfriend, » reveals the 19-year-old. However, the island state, which is located south of Florida, was not its preferred travel destination. « I actually wanted to go to Mexico, but my girlfriend really wanted to go to Cuba. »
Like Moreira, Florian Bohnert is not averse to a trip near the United States. However, the 27-year-old flirts more with South America. « Brazil and Argentina in particular would irritate me, » says Bohnert. There is a reason for visiting the two countries to visit the two countries. « These are destinations that I would like to travel to if I had a little more time. Most of the time it is missing. »
I selected the place because a direct flight will go there tomorrow.

This category also includes a nation in Asia. « I would also be interested in Japan, » says Bohnert. For the time being, however, he arranges himself with closings. The next trip takes him to Greece. « I fly to Corfu. I’ve never been there. » Bohnert made the decision for the island quite arbitrarily. « I selected the place because a direct flight will go there tomorrow. That was the main reason, » the international confesses laughing on Tuesday.
Frequent flyer
The constant flying is exhausting. Bohnert therefore wants to avoid a longer stay. « I am flying a lot at the moment and didn’t want to change in Frankfurt. » The 27-year-old does not seem to have a specific plan for the one-week trip. « I am surprised, » said Bohnert.
Like his teammates, he also wants to use the vacation to switch off – and give his hand the necessary rest period. Bohnert had slightly injured on this on Tuesday during the test game and was treated in the field. « Everything is okay. Probably something is with the capsule of a finger, but I don’t think anything is broken, » the right -back assesses the injury immediately after the game as not very serious.
After the vacation on Corfu, Bohnert spends the last two weeks of his summer break at home before preparing for the coming season in his club, SC Bastia, in early July. The city in Corsica is one of its favorite places as well as the current second home of Moreira and Leandro Barreiro. « I’m a big fan of Lisbon. I usually spend a few days a year. »

In contrast to Moreira and Bohnert, Barreiro cannot yet look forward to a football break. The midfielder takes part in the FIFA Club World Cup with Benfica Lisbon. There, Barreiro will meet the Argentine Club Boca Juniors, the New Zealand Auckland City FC and the reigning German champions, FC Bayern Munich from next Tuesday.
Afterwards, however, Barreiro will certainly remain a few relaxing days before starting training again.
