The first victory of the season from Haskasap – Cyprus Newspaper

The first race of the 2025 Northern Cyprus Drift Championship held with the organization of Drift Neu was held at Neu Event Park.

As in the past season, the Near East University Campus Ikas Supermarket, next to the Drift track specially prepared in Neu Event Park, the race took place in a full feast.

While 22 pilots competed in the race, the audience showed great interest in this breathtaking struggle.

Stars competed in Pro category

Enver Haskasap, the TRNC Drift champion 3 times, Akay Akbil with 1 championship, the shining stars of the last season Altan Çocuk, Celal Erülkü and Oktay Erülkü, ambitious pilots Ahmet Öksüzoğluları, Yusuf Çocuk, Ahmet Bağrıaçık, Erol Özteknik, Cengizhan Güngör and Yaşam Karakurt. While the pilots’ breathtaking struggle was watched with great excitement, the Semi-Pro struggle increased the adrenaline to the highest level.

Yilmaz Demir was the winner in Semi-Pro

After the great contention in the Semi-Pro category, Yılmaz Demir, Cengizhan Güngör, Mehmet Yazgan and Salahi Karalim were the names who succeeded in the semi-finals. Yilmaz Demir and Mehmet Yazgan, who succeeded in establishing superiority to their opponents, managed to reach the victory after the breathtaking match of Mehmet Yazgan. Mehmet Yazgan came second, Cengizhan Güngör third and Salahi KARIM was fourth.

In the Pro category, there were struggles worthy of the name. Following the breathtaking matches, the names that managed to print their name in the last four; Enver Haskasap, Ahmet Bağrıaçık, Celal Erülkü and Yusuf were children. In the semifinals, Haskasap managed to stay in the finals by giving superiority to his competitors. Enver Haskasap reached victory with his perfect performance in the match, which was followed by the audience. Yusuf Çocuk came second. Celal Erülkü came third and Ahmet Bağrıaçık fourth. The winners of the cups championship referees Niall Gunn, Antanas Anxiety, Vernon Zwenvald and Organization Committee Member, Tigin Kişmir, President of the TRKTOK presented.
