Saulīte informed that the most important part of the electoral process is now – the counting of the votes. She pointed out that so far everything has been calm and mostly according to the plan. Although new systems were introduced this year, which required some adaptation, the technical problems were resolved promptly.
Speaking of incidents, Saulīte emphasized that the authorities had acted in a timely manner and that the problems have been eliminated. As a result, there are no new messages outside.
She also took grateful gratitude to all the authorities involved in the elections. Among them, she particularly highlighted the National Agency for Regional Development, which provided the new election platform, as well as the Citizenship and Migration Affairs Board, the Security Services, « Cert.lv » and other institutions.
Saulīte also thanked all the electoral commissions and polls, which now starts counting the votes. However, she gave the voters the greatest gratitude, expressing the joy that this year’s voter turnout was significantly higher than in the previous municipal elections.
