The first plane departs from Vlora International Airport
The first certification flight at Vlora International Airport was carried out. This will be the largest airport in Albania and is expected to become another large gate for all visitors who choose our country to visit and rest.
Prime Minister Edi Rama was also present at the ceremony organized on this occasion.
With an area of 309 hectares, 3.2km runway and an investment of 104m euros, the southern air gate aims to give another impetus to the development of the area but especially tourism in the country.
It is designed to accommodate all flights anywhere in the world and transoceanic ones.
« There are those who say that today’s flight is fake and this airport will remain like Kukes. It is true that Kukes Airport has had its problems to secure operators and the landing runway, as happened with the Tirana Airport, which was one of Europe’s most expensive airports, but a new Albanian company will soon stop at Kukes Airport. The other Albanian company, these two aircraft will be our common pride aircraft.
