The Feast of May first emptied Kicevo

Most of the citizens of Kicevo have traditionally realized the holiday picnic for May 1st, and the choice falls on monasteries, homeland villages, Krasnica of Treska and Ohrid. This tradition was not lacking this year, and the beautiful weather was a true ally of all citizens who tried to spend a few hours in the green and pure air.

– Is there anything more beautiful for May 1st to go to the native village of fresh air and in untouched nature, where we prepare the traditional May Day table and everything we usually have at the table for this holiday. It is visible how almost all the yards in the village are full of people, and many of them smell of fresh roasted meat prepared – says Trajko Veleski, a resident of the village in Belicha River.

In the past decades, Kitino Kale has been attractive to city young people and many locals have visited this place located in the city center.

– We have always been the first option for this holiday is the Kitino Kale, because it is located in the city itself and you only have to spend ten minutes to climb to its top. You do not need to light a car and travel for a longer period. This year we are witnessing how there were not too many locals on the Kale, and why this is confirmed by the fact that the fortress does not work a catering facility as before, and its visitors cannot be refreshed in the warm May time – says Dragan Treneski, a retiree from Kicevo.

During the day due to the feast and the beautiful weather, in Kicevo the streets are empty, and the traffic in traffic is almost gone. Only a solid number of guests had cafes in the city center that decided to stay home.
