The pre -trial investigation of this extraordinary incident was entrusted to the Organized Crime Investigation Board of the Kaunas County Police Headquarters together with the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Division of the Kaunas Regional Prosecutor’s Office, ie Kaunas Law Enforcement Forces with a city gang and their intercourse.

One of the reasons for such a solution was Bazanov’s biography. As mentioned, he was tried ten years ago as a member of a criminal organization stolen in Belgium, Germany and Denmark, trailers and their trailers and semi -trailers with valuable cargo. There was a suspicion after the detention of Mr Bazanov in January this year with a loaded gun that he had not been tired of the harmful habit so far. There were also suspicions about his accusation, but after showing Mr Bazanov, the latter denied his mother’s words for his son’s strangeness. And she later confessed to her son, trying to help him. The mother of E. Basanov, who lives in England, was interviewed remotely. And gave testimony to the officers who had conducted a pre -trial investigation, although the mother of the suspect could not do so.

Accusation – as well as eloquent

After claiming Mr Bazanov’s suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, he was initially arrested for a month.

Uarely, not too long ago, its arrest was extended until the end of August. And today, Basanov’s prosecution was made in court that he had not yet disappeared for his conviction for his involvement in a criminal organization, that was recognized as a person of increased seriousness, he caused that noon of January 20 at a public place at a level that corresponds to serious or very serious criminal offenses.

According to the part of the above -mentioned Criminal Code, which provides for liability for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, he is subject to imprisonment from four to eight years in prison. Although his lawyer is reluctant to accept such qualifications of the defense crime. And even found a judgment in which another person who found illegally held 100 ammunition was convicted by a lighter part of the liability for the crime. However, the prosecutor’s replies received that, depending on where you would hold those cartridges – under the pillow, or a pistol in a box and handbag with which at noon you went to the city.

There was no that in criminal chronicles

Following the accusation, he claimed that he acknowledged the facts, but also disagrees with them as part of the said article of the Criminal Code, Bazanov said he had found a pistol with whom he was detained, maybe five years ago in the woods near the Rokas, where they learned how to use a metal detector. He allegedly discovered the aforementioned weapon, wrapped in cellophane and 90s newspapers. The same bundle was ammunition for this weapon. True, there were three more than they now find themselves in the hands of law enforcement. Bazanov said one rounds of the rounds, checking whether his find was acting, another accidentally fired at home, and the third dismantled. According to E. Bazanov, the pistol found was already with a scrubbed identification number.

He decided to stay for self -defense because he had an unpleasant incident on the Vaišvydava road at a similar time, which was considered to have an attack on his life accident. This story began at the accessors of the Panemunė Bridge, where the dark -colored BMW, which two people drove, tried to press his car against the curb. Then he managed to escape, before expressing negative dissatisfaction. But on the way to Vaišvydava, the same BMW struck him, blinking with lights. And a person with a pistol in his hand jumped out of it. Fortunately, they were then overtook by another car. And, according to Mr Bazanov, he managed to escape again. And when he returned « wheels » about an hour home, he decided not to go to the police because he did not see the BMW state license plates, and due to the dark day and blindness of the lights of the persons who had driving it.

However, after finding this event a pistol with ammunition, he decided to keep them for self -defense, because being maintained in England’s maid’s mother did not have to protect money for hiring, and was unable to acquire and hold a weapon legally due to criminal record. This is how they walked those almost five years at the store with a loaded weapon. And later, the war in Ukraine, accompanied by a call to everyone, began.

Who wore what?

According to Mr Bazanov, he had consumed alcohol on the eve of his detention. However, in the morning, he received a message that his expected parcel with a soldering iron – you are already shot at Lidl, so he went out to pick it up, as usual, with a loaded pistol full of ammunition in his tray and spare ammunition in the same purse. But although the pistol was in combat readiness, its fuse was turned on. However, according to police officers who detained Bazanov, the pistol fuse was turned off.

Why he was then detained by the police, Bazanov does not know. When he had passed with the officers’ car, he suddenly turned around and stopped for him behind his back. And then there was already a team to stop, come to them and started checking pockets and later a handbag.

Following the testimony of Mr Bazanov, the question of whether they can be considered as a confession and apply a truncated evidence to reduce the sentence imposed by a third, the prosecutor said that the trial did not acknowledge that the pistol fuse was turned off, it was necessary to question the officers, What he replied to that the officials should be questioned unless his defamation case should be interviewed.

Mr Basanov’s lawyer also proposed an abbreviated examination of evidence, arguing that it was not necessary to interfere with the officers with a great deal of work. Not to mention the unnecessary delay of this trial.

However, the trial judge found that both the prosecutor and the lawyer had to agree with the abbreviated examination of the evidence. And as the date on the next meeting begins, another problem was encountered – a prosecutor will leave soon, who will return to work only in mid -July, but then a lawyer will be on vacation, and when this holiday is over in mid -August, it will be on vacation and on vacation until mid -September and the judge.

After all, the next court hearing, which will also be invited by police officers who detained Bazanov, will be found for a couple of hours at the very end of the working day.
