The famous YouTuber arrested on Hvar: drunk hit a cop in the eye, threatened to 8 years in prison
On the island of Hvar, the Brazilian citizen of Luan Kovarik, 26, was arrested tonight, known as Jon Vlogsone of the world’s most famous YouTuber with tens of millions of followers on social networks. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, when he participated in the disturbance of public order and peace in front of the Pink Champagne nightclub, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the Police Station in Hvar, writes Slobodna Dalmacija.
According to Slobodna Dalmacija, Vlogs first made problems with a few friends within the club – they consumed larger amounts of alcohol, broke the glasses and took off their T -shirts, which made the club’s insurance alerted and brought them out. There they continued to shout at the police officers.
Shortly afterwards, they approached the police patrol, but the group disobeyed the orders of police officers, insulting them with derogatory words and curses. The situation escalated when Vlogs, visibly intoxicated, hit one cop with a fist in the eye area. Because of this, funding for coercion was used and was brought to the police station.
– On June 9, 2025. At about 3am, four foreign citizens were throwing glasses at Ivo Milicic Street in the town of Hvar and took off their T -shirts. The output insulted security guards. Upon the arrival of the police, they disobeyed the command and continued to insult. One of them, a 26-year-old Brazil citizen, hit a police officer with his hand. He was intoxicated, measured by 1.04 g/kg of alcohol. He was arrested and a criminal investigation was conducted over him – the Split police said.
Two more police officers were slightly injured in physical conflict, and three Vlogs friends were arrested during the incident – two Brazilians (35 and 30 years) and one Argentina citizen (28 years). They measured alcohol concentrations of 1.90 g/kg, 0.67 g/kg and 2.20 g/kg. They were all retained until the sobriety, after which criminal investigations were also conducted over them.
– It was determined that everyone had committed offenses under the Act on Misdemeanors Against Public Order and Peace. They were arrested for shouting, removing the clothing and insulting officials – said the Split -Dalmatia Police Department.
Jon Vlogs is detained, as it is a criminal offense of coercion towards an official, he is threatened with sentence of prison for one to eight years.
– Yes, I can confirm that my client is the person you are talking about and is arrested on a charges of coercion towards an official. He is currently in the police and this is all I can tell you at the moment – said lawyer Denis Kulusic, hired by VLogs.
The news of the arrest of the popular influencer soon spread to his homeland. The Brazilian portals have transmitted information, and a video called « Jon Vlogs arrested after a confrontation with the police in Croatia » appeared on YouTube, which shows the young man’s nap in front of the club and a photo of Vlogs at the Police Station.
