« The faces of Maria, the queen of all Romanians »
To mark the 150 years since the birth of Queen Maria, the one who loved Romania, the Social Innovation Foundation Regina Maria and Enayati Medical City organizes an itinerant exhibition with objects from Dr. Wargha Enayati. The event represents a subjective narrative incursion into the visual and spiritual heritage of the most charismatic and influential personalities of the history of modern Romania.
On April 4, at 7 pm, the exhibition will make its first stop at the Dacian and Roman Civilization Museum in Deva. Some of the plural faces of Queen Mary at the present time will be visited in Deva: mother, unmarried soldier, brave nurse on the front, diplomat, sensitive artist, prolific and lucid writer, and at the same time a great lover of the needy, the mother of the children orphans who have a very present personality. More current than ever.
In collaboration with the Hunedoara County School Inspectorate and with the high schools in Deva, a larger program has been prepared, through which the high school students per year Amorem Ad Lucem – through love to light.
Photos, documents, volumes in a curatorial concept that belongs to Mrs. Oana Ursache, a philologist, expert in cultural studies, a teacher at the « Stefan cel Mare » University of Suceava and collaborating of the Regina Maria Foundation, is waiting for you in Deva, to not be able to Romania. Good return to Deva, Majestate, where one of the most beautiful statues was raised!

Curator of the exhibition « The faces of Maria, the queen of all Romanians »
« Oana Ursache is a doctor in philology, with a thesis on Panait Istrati. Teacher at the » Stefan cel Mare « University in Suceava, is a specialist in comparative literature, cultural studies and teaching the Romanian language as a foreign language. For 18 years he taught the Romanian language at universities in Spain (Alicante and Granada) and at the state.
His research is mainly focused on the image of Romanianism in European context and in the universal imaginary and on the dynamics of female identity in the context of modern and postmodern culture. He has published numerous interdisciplinary articles on literature and film, literary translation, teaching methods and women.
During the period when he was a Romanian language lecturer abroad he promoted the Romanian culture, kept close ties with the diaspora and revitalized the collective memory of Romanians from abroad regarding Queen Maria. From the autumn of last year when he was decided to return to the country, he collaborates with the Social Innovation Foundation Regina Maria in cultural projects, being a project manager for the year of Queen Maria. Thus brings into the Romanian public space a message that combines academic rigor with civic sensitivity.
As curator of the exhibition the faces of Maria, the queen of all Romanians Mrs. Ursache proposes an updated and polyphonic narrative of our queen’s figure, emphasizing her role as a model and diplomat only of Romania’s interests, but also diplomat and creators of material, immaterial and symbolic heritage.
Dr. Wargha Enayati
In love with Romania and fascinated by our queen, Dr. Enayati is also a generous philanthropist and the president of the Foundation. In his entire professional activity and humanistic vocation he was inspired by Maria Regina Romania, who was a model: the medical network Regina Maria was the first with national coverage celebrates 30 years since its establishment. Inspired by « Faith, activity and human model that Queen Maria » incarnated Dr. Enayati chose Romania. « The excellence with which the queen dedicated her life to the Romanian people was a source of inspiration and motivation in everything I have achieved, whether it was the directions I have developed in the medical or health education, or in the sense of support for those who need more, » says Dr. Wargha Enayati.
«Dr. Wargha Enayati. Cardiologist, philanthropist, collector, entrepreneur, innovative and absolute pioneer in the private medical system in Romania, supporter of social responsibility in Romania, but also a very important voice in promoting humanistic and spiritual values, a well -known star of the Lion Empire, very present in the world of arts, publishers, investors, Dr. Enayati podcasts. In turn, he is an organizer of events and communities, a good friend, good neighbor, a good supporter of the causes that can help his fundamental goal: the unity of humanity and spiritual growth.
Born in Germany from Iranian parents, Dr. Enayati is the emblematic personality of private medicine in Romania. He came to study medicine in Romania in 1983, although he was a student in Federal Germany. The dark 1980s were probably made from Romania the last place to want a student from Western Europe. Dr. Enayati explains in an interview that « Queen Maria brought it to Romania »: being Baha’i, she heard about this fabulous queen, the first to embrace the new Baha’i religion. In order to meet the Queen’s land, we chose us, because: « I wanted to pay tribute to him and especially to be known the life and her wonderful things he did for the Romanians. It was a shock to me when I came to communist Romania and I saw that too few knew about his life. »
In one way or another, through everything Dr. Enayati does, he fulfills his purpose: he helps us to reapply to our queen.

His passion for Maria Regina Romania can be found in the love with which objects, photographs, paintings, letters, books that belonged to them, of which are generously exposed in the Queen Maria foyer, located in the medical city of Enayati, the first medical ecosystem in Romania of integrated services.

More than just a slogan, « through love to light » was the belief of this queen who, if they had lived today, would have certainly been a true « Socialight »: conferences, transgenerational dialogues, as can be seen from the projection of the documentary film Maria – the heart of Romania, in the presence of Dan Drăghicescu, one of the producers.
