The ambitious exhibition includes masterpieces of various Italian crafts workshops and manufacturing, made between the 6th and 19th centuries, especially highlighting the art of late medieval and high Renaissance periods stored (Palazzo Madama) in the collection. The exhibit offers an insight into all the crafts of Italy crafts – the world’s well -known Murano Glass, the covers of Venice enamel and Dodge document, Renaissance bronze and cameras, Lombardy metalworks, Tuscany’s faups, Naples porcelain, fabrics, fabrics and lace.

Outstanding skills and quality of performance have allowed great artists to create works that have survived centuries and fascinated for many generations. An exhibition that will hopefully delight in the Latvian audience and revive the relations between our cultures. ”

The selection of historic exhibits is enriched by individual items from the Latvian National Museum of Art’s foreign art collection. For the first time, the Latvian audience will be able to swell virtually and see legendary George Vasari in person (Giorgio Vasari, 1511-1574) book The most outstanding painters, sculptors and architects’ lives (1568 edition), deposited by the Handwriting and Rare Book Department of the University of Latvia Library. Two unique volumes of vasars are available for viewing at the Museum’s European Art Gallery.

An important addition to the exhibition is Madam Castle and Art Museum Riga Stock Exchange Researchers’ descriptions and guides to help visitors navigate the history or specificity of different crafts and centers. The exhibition has been a catalog, which is also a study of art history on crafts, materials and major craft centers. The exhibition will be accompanied by an extended set of events that will begin with Italy’s Day on June 1st.

The exhibition was created with the support of the Boris and Inara Teterev Foundation and is part of the investment of one million euros in a large -scale culture, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Foundation. Museum Riga Stock Exchange Together with the Boris and Inara Teterev Foundation have successfully implemented several exhibition projects, among them Provence fascination (2015), Prado 12 characters (2017), Advent, Christmas and Star Day with Prado (2024-2025), as well as the first Latvian cooperation project with the Ufici Gallery – Exhibition Self -finding. Tintoreto, Omar Galljani, Lorenzo Puljizi (2021).
