The event for March 25th at the White House – ceremony at the parade is Vangelis Marinakis

The Greek community was accepted to the White House, in the presence of US President Donald Trump, in a very warm ceremony for the anniversary of the March 25th celebration.

« Bring peace to the world and make America invincible, » Archbishop Elpidoforos, who was at the ceremony and gave the US president a golden cross as a symbol of the vision of Constantine and his victory under the divine guidance.

« It’s gorgeous. I didn’t know that would happen, but I would accept it. Thank you very much, ”Mr Trump replied.

Trump: ‘We Love You’

In his speech, Donald Trump referred to the Greek -American who staff the US government and the major representatives of the Greek community, emphasizing cultural and historical relations between the two countries.

« Day of Greek independence. I am happy to welcome the White Hundreds of proud, workers Greek -American patriots. I know many of you. I like most of you. Some I don’t like, because you are very tough. You are some very hard out there but it doesn’t matter, we love you. « 

« On behalf of all of you thank you for continuing this wonderful tradition that recognizes the Greek roots of democracy, » said the Archbishop of America Elpidoforos.

At the White House and Vangelis Marinakis

At the White House reception, Vangelis Marinakis, founder and president of Capital Maritime & Trading Corp, who is one of the few entrepreneurs in the White House, attended.

Vangelis Marinakis will also be a ceremony at the parade for March 25 on Sunday, on the 5th Avenue in New York.

The new US Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Gilfil, also mentioned the links of the two countries.

The events for the celebration of March 25th peak on Sunday with the established parade.

The central theme of this year’s parade will be « Greece – the birthplace of the Republic and a strategic partner of America », with the aim of promoting the Greek -US -US -Cooperation ties, as well as the offer of homogeneity to America and to his birthplace.
