The European Parliament for 3 years has continued » trading visa waiver ‘for steel and iron from Ukraine
The European Parliament has continued the so -called « trade visa waiver » for three years – suspension of quotas and customs duties – for Ukrainian iron and steel, taking into account that since June 6, 2025, general autonomous trade measures for Ukrainian goods exported to the European Union will end.

Details: The resolution of the European Parliament will continue duty -free imports in the EU from Ukraine steel and iron until June 5, 2028.

The legislative resolution will enter into force after its approval by the EU Council and official publication.
Recall that the European Commission does not plan to continue the autonomous trade measures for Ukraine (the so -called « trade visa waiver »), which is valid until June 5. However, it is planned to ensure a smooth transition to a new scheme where all conditions of trade liberalization will be recorded in the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
