The European Commission has offered a list of countries on Wednesday, which are considered safe and the admission of migrants in need of protection in the EU will be extremely difficult.

Requests for the asylum of illegal migrants from these countries seeking protection in the EU will be processed, as « on the basis that their requests are unlikely to be successful, » the commission said.

Countries may also add to the list more countries that statistics show that an average of up to 20% of applications for protection are approved.

The initiative must facilitate migration and border authorities that will consider requests from such citizens accelerated, and they will most often wait for decisions at EU border centers.

The possibility that is being prepared for the first time is part of the new migration and asylum pact that the EU has accepted last May to make its migration policy more effective.

The list adopted on Wednesday by the European Commissioners, which must be approved by the European Parliament and by the Member States, to make it a fact, the EU will put two groups of countries on the « impossible protection » list. The first will include nine countries that negotiate EU membership:

With Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia, there are also agreements that they receive financial assistance from him against commitments to fight trafficking in human beings and to retain the flows illegal migrants who headed for Europe.

According to the European Border Service « Frontex » of the so-called Safe Bangladeshi countries are the highest of those coming through the Central Mediterranean, the Egyptians move in larger quantities through the Eastern Mediterranean route and the Turks through the Balkan. The Moroccans are the second largest group arriving through Spain.

According to the new migration rules, asylum requests from illegal migrants who come from these 16 countries will be processed at external European borders, and they will go through all stages of the procedure, including the appeal of the refusals to remain in the EU, for three months.

The European list will complement the national lists that some countries have. The Commission says countries on the list will be rated periodically to see if they remain safe for running people.

There are two more conditions for the countries applying for the EU. They will be dropped from the list if more than 20% of the applications filed for protection are judged as justified by the European services that view them, or if it breaks out « indiscriminate violence in conflict situations » or the European countries introduce them to sanctions.

As the EU is obliged to evaluate the individual circumstances specified in each asylum request, each request for protection will be considered individually, but the applications from the 16 countries will be withdrawn forward to comply with the deadlines.
