The ethyl adventure of two homeless people who stole a ship and arrived in Cabrera | Spain

The adventure of Pedro M. began to take shape at the Son Sant Joan de Palma airport terminal at dawn last Sunday, the 20th, this 59 -year -old man has lived in the airport terminal for months and shares dead space and hours with other homeless people. That night, speaking with a 53 -year -old partner with knowledge of nautical and influenced by the effects of alcohol he had ingested, he decided to get the sea on a ship that stole from a nearby monkey club. Both managed to arrive at Cabrera Island, south of Mallorca, in a 12 -meter sailboat and were arrested by the Civil Guard after notice of what happened to the impossibility of the two thieves to govern the ship. Both were released last Tuesday after giving a statement in the guard court and have returned to the airport.

According to the information offered by the Civil Guard, the robbery occurred at dawn on Sunday, April 20 at the San Antonio Nautical Club of the beach of Can Paste de Palma, about 40 minutes walk from the airport. There, the thieves forced the door to enter and noticed a 12 -meter length and four manga sailboat PEGIN TUK that remained tied without surveillance. « The truth is that alcohol dominated us. Navigating without seeing anyone, without the police coming, being able to sleep in a mattress, get up and see the ship navigate, enjoy, » Pedro M. has told about his adventure in statements to the local newspaper Last minute. The two men approached the ship taking advantage of the nautical knowledge of one of them and made the sea in the early morning.

The hours were spending and on Sunday morning the news of the robbery extended through social networks, where in the navigation groups it alerted the disappearance of the PEGIN TUK and help was asked for its location. The two men took advantage of the journey to eat and drink everything they found on the sailboat, managed to reach the coast of the Island of Cabrera and then set for the Mallorcan east coast. However, a few hours after starting the adventure, Pedro M. decided to give notice to maritime rescue given the difficulties that had arisen to govern the boat. Neither of the two thieves knew how to explain the exact location of the ship until, with the instructions of the maritime rescue troops, they activated the radio, which managed to provide all the information about the location of the sailboat to the rescue services.

After having knowledge of the robbery, the maritime rescue patrol of the Civil Guard managed to intercept the two crew members in waters near Cabrera and approached the boat to stop the two thieves. A tugboat was also mobilized to move the sailboat to the Palma Yacht Club, which was stolen. The protagonists of the theft were arrested and made to court, although they were released with charges after appearing in the court of guard. « We have returned the intact ship. It is a lie that is destroyed, without a single scratch, » said Pedro M., who has rejected the accusations of the owners who denounced that the ship had been vandalized.
