Romanians with low incomes would benefit, from July 1, of direct support for the payment of invoices at energy. At least that’s what the interim energy minister, Sebastian Burduja wants, in the context of eliminating the generalized ceiling scheme. The energy card would be fed monthly.

« So far a multimiliard or millionaire in Romania had the same level of support as a family that is struggling with minimal income because it was subsidized on the level of consumption. So, if it had an empty apartment in spring or simply reduce consumption in Pantelimon or Ferentari, it had the same level of support and we move on to a model based on income. The Ministry of Labor and practically keeping the share for a single person who receives that minimum wage and a member of a household, which means 48% of the income of a single person ”, explained the Minister of Energy at Live show, from Digi24According to the minister, the proposed scheme must be approved by the Ministry of Labor and validated by the Executive.

How will the energy card be able to get

« Each possible beneficiary will have to submit a request, either online, on a platform developed by STS, or those who are not digitally alphabet, at the City Hall headquarters or at the supplier’s headquarters the relationship with customer customer relationships. The internal energy minister also explained that, in the absence of a universal ceiling, the real price of electricity will be felt by most Romanians and that they must know the truth. « There is such an increase for a Romanian who has financial problems, he has low incomes. Of course, 30-40 lei per month represents a burden to others. It is probably a thing, as I tell you, unpleasant, but we still have to tell Romanians the truth that this is the real price of electricity on the market.
