The election of the year renovation project begins

Focus on quality, sustainability and inspiration

In order to show the most successful examples of apartment buildings, the Environmental Project Management Agency (APVA) is organized annually by organizing the renovation project elections annually. According to Gintare Burbienė, Director of the APVA Department of Buildings, twelve selected projects from Vilnius city and district, Kaunas, Ukmergė, Jonava, Panevėžys, Klaipėda, Mažeikiai, Marijampolė participate in the competition this year.

« The main purpose of this competition is to encourage quality renovation and inspire other residents to make changes. At the same time, it is an opportunity to hear the first -hand, first -hand renovation process, best practices and learn how people’s daily routine has changed, » Burbiene said.

She adds that the desire to pay attention to the projects that not only have increased the energy efficiency of the building, but also renewed its life cycle, improved quality of life, and has created a more aesthetic, more comfortable and sustainable environment. It is believed that good examples can also encourage other Lithuanian residents to make a decision to renovate their homes

Selected according to certain criteria

The apartment buildings participating in the election of the year renovation project are selected based on how much energy is saved, innovative technology, architectural transformation of the building and a qualitative change in life. Thus, not only how much energy consumption has decreased, but also what architectural solutions have been made, how quality work has been done, what materials used, how the environment, such as the public spaces have been renovated.

« A lot of attention has been paid to sustainability, ie whether the project to implement renewable energy sources. Another important criterion is communalism: how the owners of the apartment have been able to solve the challenges and make decisions, how their attitude and perception that the house, its common space is the property to be taken care of. »

Voting invited by all Lithuanian residents

All Lithuanian residents are invited to the best implemented projects – the voting for candidates will begin on June 9. One of the largest news portals in the country, and the winners will be announced on June 16th. Before giving his voice APVA, he recommends doing so responsibly – getting to know each project and not only to explore the real benefits after the renovation, but also to take into account other peculiarities and see a broader image.

« Each project is distinguished in its own way: one saves up to 80 % of heat, others are equipped with heat pumps, non -traditional facades or tanks. One of the measures to fulfill its obligations related to climate change, ”said G. Burbienė.
