The Easter Fair starts in a few days
The Easter Fair has permanently entered the calendar of spring events in the city. Every year, he attracts hundreds of visitors to Cracovians and tourists, who are looking not only for Christmas gifts, but also an unforgettable impressions from atmospheric Krakow.
This year, there will be 95 exhibitors from all over Poland and abroad at the Easter Fair, including Lithuania, Ukraine, Slovakia and Hungary. A wide range of holiday articles will appear at the stands, including Reeds, palm trees, Easter eggs, hand -painted porcelain, jewelry, wood products. We will also find here such unique products as hand -embroidered shirts, amber jewelry, souvenirs from Nepal.
Gastronomic gardens surrounded by spring plants will be built at the fair. Guests will be able to taste traditional Easter dishes, such as sour soup, Ukrainian borscht, and dumplings. Of course, there will be local specialties, including Krakow’s Maczanka and casseroles, Hungarian Kurtoszy-Kołaczy.
The Easter Fair is also artistic events. On April 12, the Cracow Song and Dance Ensemble will perform, the Country Housewife Clubs will present traditional Easter dishes, and Easter egg workshops will take place. It is worth taking part in the competition for the traditional Easter palm, which will be played on April 13. On the same day there will be a special presentation of folk work. You will be able to buy during it, among others folk costumes, crochet jewelry, handmade Christmas decorations.
The organizers have planned games related to Małopolska traditions, such as Siuda Baba on Monday. It is worth mentioning that traditional fudge candies will contain QR codes that will transfer visitors to the most beautiful monuments of Krakow. The fair is not only commercial, but also supports charity. The organizers will provide free stands with a friendly city of Kiev and organizations supporting people with disabilities.
