On Tuesday at Aleja Niepodległości in Sopot, a policeman on a motorcycle noticed a Land Rover driver without fastened belts. He stopped him for control and punished him with a fine. When the driver was leaving, the officer felt the smell of marijuana, which prompted him to further intervene.

Discovery of drugs and crossbow
During further actions, the police secured hashish and confirmed the presence of THC in the driver’s body. In addition, a cross was found in the car without registration. The man was detained and his driving license and car secured.
Allegations and legal consequences
The prosecutor raised the 55-year-old allegations of having hashish and leading under the influence of drugs. The man was covered by police supervision and will answer in court. He faces a penalty of up to 10 years in prison for possession of drugs and up to 3 years for conducting under the influence of intoxicants.
